A recurring dream travels every night in search of someone new.

This is how It begins…

While walking about in the woods I stumbled upon a grassy narrow foot trail leading into a deep hidden forest. On entering this place, a cool breeze of pure air caressed my face. As I filled my lungs, I was taken by the delightful scent of colorful velvety flowers that were surrounding me. There were also shimmering turquoise blue birds that seemed as if they were welcoming me.

While I strolled along joyfully through this intriguing place, I began to hear the sound of a voice from far away. It was so captivating that it made me want to find it. As I proceeded to follow it, my path was being guided by the lights of glowing click beetles. I felt like there were eyes watching me from every direction. The closer I seemed to be, the  clearer the sound became. Soon, I was able to discern that there were other voices, all in perfect harmony.

Finally! There it was, wrapped around an immense tree, the most peculiar thing I had ever seen.

                            “The singing vine”

It awakens at every twilight, as each pod opens its eyes, it starts to sing, bringing a sense of serenity to its surroundings. Their melodic voices attract all sorts of curious creatures, from even the deepest parts of the forest, including its enemy, the cutter.

However to remain alive, each pod must sing at its awakening, failing to do so would result in the sleep of death, withering away, leaving behind a hollow woody shell for other animals to inhabit. Every night the dream lives on.
